Counselo ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Counselo service.
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your email address when you create an account or sign in. We also collect usage data to improve the service, including the types of legal questions asked (in anonymised form).
We use your information to operate and improve Counselo, authenticate your account, respond to your queries, and send essential service communications. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
If you install Counselo Connect, the tool is granted read-only access to files you explicitly share with it. Files are processed locally or transmitted securely to our servers solely to answer your queries. We do not store file contents beyond the duration of your session.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption and secure authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
